Public bug reported:

I am running a multihead system with 2 17" monitors, positioned left &
right.

If I have multiple maximized windows, when a window is minimized to the
taskbar and then restored - even if this is immediate - then the window
does not return to the same screen. E.g. if I have a full-screen window
on the left monitor, minimized it, it may reappear on the right monitor.
This also occurs when switching between tasks with Alt-Tab - if I switch
to an already visible window, it might instantly switch heads.

This seems to require multiple maximized windows - at least two. I have
not been able to determine if there's a pattern as to which screen
windows will reappear on; it seems to be fairly random but there's about
a 50% chance, every swap or ever minimize/maximize, that the window will
reappear on the wrong monitor.

Ubuntu 7.04, x86-32, clean install, fully updated
AthlonXP 2800MHz, 1GB RAM, 80G IDE hard disk, 2y 10G drive dedicated to swap
nVidia GeForce FX 5600 AGP with 256MB RAM
nVidia proprietary drivers, installed using the Ubuntu restricted drivers tool
Compiz desktop effects enabled
