Hi Erick, thanks for reporting this bug.
I'll mark it as duplicate of bug 834045, it's almost certainly the same
issue. Note that the reason you see that the panel is working properly
is because it's restarted whenever it crashes. And this particular crash
happens only on the first execution of the panel, when logging into the
session.
The [Invalid UTF-8] label is another issue, tracked in bug 834137.
