Hello Omer, I have finally added "proposed natty" repository and I have also
updated the system, I can tell by my few interactions with this ubuntu updates
that unity seems to be running faster. I will tell you soon what has happened
with third party software and unity bar coordination.
I had been using Ubuntu with 4 GB of ram since 9.10 in 32 bits version. The
thing is that, when I upgraded to 11.04 in two machines (laptop and desktop)
each onte with different nvidia cards, I started having trouble with video,
sometimes the pc would hang. As I really liked Unity, I had to fresh install
ubuntu 11.04 in both computers, after that I haven't had problems anymore, but
in the passing month I discovered I wasn't able to use the 4 GB I have.
Somebody told me that there were problems between the kernel that allowed 4 GB
in 32 bits systems and nvidia proprietary graphics drivers. Yes I know nvidia
sucks.... Well never mind, I really love ubuntu and unity so I will wait for
nvidia guys to do something about that... For the next time, what graphic cards
are optimal for ubuntu and unity world. Thank you.
