I experienced this bug in Natty, but the situation changed in Oneiric. The desktop now shows corruption after a suspend/resume cycle : the Unity Launcher and Panel are not pixelated, but the desktop is. If I open a new window, the window seems to appear behind the pixelated layer. If I use the expo plugin in compiz, the effect appears behind this layer too. The only way to get rid of this is to restar Xorg.
