Or smb-folder I am getting the same problem (on dapper) trying to back up to a samba share. The error is "Fatal Error: Unable to create directory smb:/computername/sharename/subdir". All the same comments apply, including that there is only one '/' after ':' in the error message. I also checked permissions to create directories, etc. And Keep finds the remote directory correctly when editing the backup definition.
