I have the same problem, since feisty. In edgy there was no such problem. The machine is an Acer Aspire 1640 notebook. The requested outputs are attached in one txt-file. I've tried to turn off alsa before hibernating, and restarting alsa after waking up -- with no result. When suspending after hibernate, the sound came back. It's also OK after a reboot. (the power led keeps flashing, this is also a new 'feature', however not crucial)
