I have the same problem, although Eclipse seems to come back after some time. I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, with Sun JDK 6u26, Eclipse Indigo. My machine is a Lenovo Ideapad u450p with 4gb of RAM. After resuming from suspend it seems that the system moves extremely slowly and the hard disk is used continuously.
