Hi,

I was just about to file the same bug for the final version of Feisty.

== Steps to reproduce ==

During the text mode installation from the i386 DVD version I somehow
forgot to delete my old Ubuntu partition that I wanted to replace by a
fresh Feisty installation. After the partitioning the installer
proceeded normally, though I was wondering why it didn't tell me that it
would format my old partition ;-) A few seconds later I knew why as I
got a message that I was about to install into an existing system which
is not a good idea. Here I could either click "yes", "no" or "back" -- I
chose the latter. A few(?) message boxes later I found myself in the
installation steps list where I chose the partitioning step again. After
that everything went as expected -- besides that I was not asked for any
user account data! After rebooting I could not login.

== Workaround ==

I had to manually create a user account in the rescue system.
Furthermore I had to add the "admin" group to the sudoers file for sudo
to work with my new account as usual.

HTH,
Chriki TM
