Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic
Attempting to boot the standard feisty install CD-ROM on an ASUS M2400N laptop fails as the kernel sets up PCI resources. The bios on this laptop has been set back to optimal defaults. On a partition with edgy on it, it was upgraded to feisty without major issue (gnome-main-menu and network-manager applets died but that was it). The edgy kernel boots fine (only after fixing the initramfs to use modules piix, ide-disk, and ide-cd) but feisty kernel 2.6.20-15 and 2.6.20-14 fail at the same point.
