I am having this problem with my DVD drive. My hard drive is fine. I think an option should be added to feisty to revert back to the old driver until the new one is more mature. I have tried blacklisting libata (in the initramfs too) to cause the kernel to fall back. However, the module is still loaded and used. Any ideas how to revert?
