@Andy The basic issue is that we have software that monitors our servers using these stats and due to how they are tracked in the igb driver in 10.04 we miss our network statistics every other second. Obviously this is suboptimal, especially considering it seems that most other drivers don't have this flaw. My thought is that this patch would get igb statistic tracking on par with the other drivers, making things more consistent.
