I have seen the same problem, and it makes kile + kdvi unusable on this
fresh feisty install.

Specifically, the runaway gs process is:

gs -dSAFER -dPARANOIDSAFER -dDELAYSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH
-sDEVICE=png256 -sOutputFile=/tmp/kde-jjackson/kdviCtyh8b.png
-sExtraIncludePath=* -g794x1123 -r96 -c << /PermitFileReading [
ExtraIncludePath ] /PermitFileWriting [] /PermitFileControl [] >>
setuserparams .locksafe -f /tmp/kde-jjackson/kdvia07voa.ps

I have used kile on a system that was upgraded from Edgy to Feisty, and didn't 
see this problem. I only see it now on this fresh install of Feisty.
