Same here. It's been like since I updated the kernel (one provided @ https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/linux-kamal-mjgbacklight to correct a problem with the screen brightness).
Besides that, in Google Chrome and Chromium, when I click on Tools/View_Background_Pages, the program freezes. Since then I cannot use Chrome, only Chromium. Funny, isn't it?
