Same problem here too. I can confirm, that going back to Kernel 2.6.38-8.42 doesn't have this issue - just like Jan mentioned it in the bug report.
Interestingly enough it happens to me on an HP laptop too. Product Name: HP Compaq nc8430 BIOS Information: Vendor: Hewlett-Packard Version: 68YVD Ver. F.16 OS: Ubuntu 11.04, amd64 wifi: Intel 3945ABG Driver: iwl3945 fv, You can still reinstall the older kernel, even after you have removed it. Just select the old version in synaptic package manager to install it and then at the boot screen select the kernel version 2.6.38-8 to boot. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/812416 Title: Intel wifi 3945 slow after kernel upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/812416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
