When you say the problem "occurs only with print preview" -- do you mean that you can print and print to file without problem? Just to make sure that there is not problem with the poppler version: Could you run apt-cache policy liboppler* in a terminal and attach the output here?
The problem with the printing from print preview could have something to do with apparmor. Is your home directory is in any way "special", e.g. on an NFS share, on a NTFS-formatted drive, ...?
