This problem does not occur on all, or most, Ubuntu 11.04 systems. Please provide more information about your system and this problem, so that this bug can be worked on by a developer:
(1) Open a Terminal window and run "apport-collect 826030" (without the quotes), which will automatically attach important technical information to this bug report. The apport-collected tag will be automatically added to this bug, so you can check for that to see if the information has been successfully attached. (2) In https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi/+question/166509, you said that this problem started after you updated your kernel. Using the technique I detailed there, please check to see if this goes away if you go back to using the old kernel, and report the results of that testing here, along with the full versions numbers for all the kernels you tested (these are given in the boot menu). (3) What do you mean by "processor light"? Computers do not generally have physical lights that illuminate when the processor is working. Are you referring to the hard disk access light, the power status light, lights on the keyboard for things like Caps Lock, Number Lock, and Scroll Lock, or something else altogether? Also, what do you mean by "and nother one" and "a hazard light kind of effect"? Please be as specific as possible. A goal should be for someone to know for sure, based on your description, whether or not they are experiencing precisely the same symptoms. You may want to clarify this by editing your bug report's description itself. If you edit the description, please make sure not to accidentally remove any information that was automatically added to it by apport-collect. (4) Read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs carefully, and if there is any other information you think of to add to this bug report, please do so. After all this information is added, then this bug's status can be changed back from Incomplete to New. ** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/826030 Title: Suspend and hibernate doesn't work on Ubuntu 11.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/826030/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
