Barry, it's the same in the sense that another symbol pops up (here: ast_destroy) that seems not to be exported.
This is what I see as common for this bug as well as mine (109599) - some symbol which is not properly exported. According to the source, the name for that function is available, but somewhere between compiling and linking it seems to get "lost". I'm just desparately trying to get asterisk to work again.
