I am not sure whether the previous is a good thing, but the error did not appear again; I was able to preform a simple apt-get update without any errors. My advice to you is to simply reboot, and do the exact thing you did to get the error then report back. I am sure someone will know what and how to deal with the bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/780076 Title: <type 'exceptions.SystemError'>: E:Method has died unexpectedly!, E :Sub-process returned an error code (100), E:Method /usr/lib/apt/methods/ did not start correctly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aptdaemon/+bug/780076/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
