Any love for this? I'd really like to see this resolved for Oneiric as it is a pretty bad UI usability issue. The whole point of the launcher on the left side was better use of screen realestate, but if I can't use the launcher because I'm using the screen's real estate, what's the point?
As added information: I currently have Thunderbird maximized and it's taking up the entire screen. As long as any application is either maximized or is not maximised but has any part of its window resting inside the area on the left side where the launcher would appear, the launcher will appear BENEATH that/those application(s).
