Hi,

I've tested again in the latest version of Chrome for Ubuntu
(13.0.782.107) and HTML5 audio is working as expected, just click the
play button and all is well

The stream is MP3, but why does Firefox
not support playing such a common media type (I presume this is a
reported issue already)

Cheers

Iain

looks like Firefox only supports ogg format audio and apparently the
audio file in the website you're looking at is mp3 format (specifically
not supported by Firefox).
