A FYI:

With Ubuntu Oneiric Alpha 2 with kernel 3.0.0-5-generic, the usb wifi
dongle seems to be recognized. See snippets below.

FWIW: I can't configure anything via the network applet in the upper
right corner (does not work either for the built-in wifi, so probably a
GUI / applet bug), but 'sudo iwlist scan' shows the wifi-networks seen
by the usb wifi device, so that's good.

I first tried today's daily build of Oneiric from a persistent USB-key,
but it asks for a password when I try to access the network applet. An
empty password does not work. If somebody can tell what I should do, I
can test further with the daily build
