As I can see this Ntrig device uses protocol type A, where's no way to to track touches, so it sends SYN_MT_REPORT events (see http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/input/multi-touch-protocol.txt). hid-multitouch exports protocol type B, where ABS_MT_SLOT is used for tracking contacts. Is utouch capable of working with protocol B?
