I've added some man pages to the source code repository. They're pretty sparse right now, and if anyone wants to help improve them that would be extremely helpful.
Also, the main dependencies should be libz, libbz2, ICU, openssl and of course GNUStep. Maybe the GUI parts of GNUStep (AppKit) have a lot of dependencies? Those are not needed for this, all that is used is the core classes in Foundation.
