I have just upgraded from Edgy to Feisty to see if it would fix it but...
On an IBM laptop (does it matter?) I have a 1G CF card formatted FAT32 (ubuntu
calls it vfat in mtab) in a 'Dazzle' PCMCIA adapter.
The card mounts (automatically) OK, and I can see the files on it. But I can't
change permissions for files or directories, for group and other, from
unreadable. I've tried from Nautilus and command-line with and without sudo.
Not the same bug? User error?
Seems to me if the card auto-mounts, then it should just work without further
configuration!
