Ubuntu’s dkms 2.2.0.1-0ubuntu1 was uploaded independently of Debian’s dkms 2.2.0.1-1, and the two .orig.tar.gzs are not bitwise-identical (although the contents are identical if you extract them). In particular, Debian copied the pristine tarball from http://linux.dell.com/dkms/, while Ubuntu’s tarball was recompressed 14 minutes later. This prevents new releases of 2.2.0.1 from being synced; they would have needed a fakesync instead. Presumably that explains the blacklist entry.
That should not prevent 2.2.0.2 from being synced, since we’re copying a new .orig.tar.gz from Debian. (When uploading new versions of dkms to Ubuntu in the future, please try to always use pristine tarballs from upstream, in order to avoid this problem.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/811231 Title: Sync dkms 2.2.0.2-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dkms/+bug/811231/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
