It would be great if ubuntu supported this project. Currently, it appears that the only way to install it in kubuntu is either by compiling it from source or to install it through an unknown ppa, and it would be much better if Ubuntu offered it in the distro's repositories. Adding to this, the current picking of CAD software is, to put it mildly, poor, and a better alternative (or at least a little competition) would benefit Ubuntu's users.
