Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-15-generic

First of all I use Ubuntu 7.04 on my ASUS A6Jc laptop.

When I boot generic kernel (2.6.20-15-generic) shipped with ubuntu I
get:

Tests using hdparam before (1) and after (2) standby - resume confirm
that disk run in slower UDMA mode:

(1) # hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 2454 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1228.09 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 96 MB in 3.03 seconds = 31.73 MB/sec

(2) # hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:
 Timing cached reads: 2428 MB in 2.00 seconds = 1214.84 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 58 MB in 3.04 seconds = 19.10 MB/sec
