Public bug reported: I use Ubuntu 11.04. I can't install the programme from the original CD that supports UBUNTU/DEBIAN LINUX, 350MHz, 256MB RAM. Tried using Edit>Add CD-ROM in Synaptic Package Manager. But it can't mount the CD. No problem with the CD. (Checked in 'Windows' in another Computer. Working smoothly.) In my system the result is:
E: Unable to stat the mount point /media/cdrom/ - stat (2: No such file or directory) E: Unable to stat the mount point /media/cdrom/ - stat (2: No such file or directory) E: Failed to mount the cdrom. ** Affects: software-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/814452 Title: CD/DVD Drive disappears from "Computer" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/814452/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
