Public bug reported: I was running an upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 (all successful) to 11.04. I got to the final steps of the upgrade when this error appeared that initramfs-tools failed to install and that my system might be in an unusable state.
I haven't tried to reboot yet, but I'm hoping that I'll be back in and this was just a glitch. Given the opportunity to report this, I chose to, since this is not the kind of error most people want to be seeing. If its a duplicate, or I'm just being stupid (not sure how I had anything to do with this, but still...) just ignore me.
