Please, can you explain better the word "irreparably"? Xcircuit is an old but great program, with a very good ouptut quality, and very useful. It would be a great loss if it's removed from ubuntu.
I agree that the 3.6 series have some problems, being this segfault one of them. But 3.6 series is a development version.
