Peteris, thanks for the logs. I'm not aware of any particular test you can run to check your system. If it's booting normally and seems to operate as expected then I'd be fairly sure it's fine. A lot of people are reporting similar errors to this but for different packages and they all seem to be basically OK. As far as I understand it this error is not serious, ideally it would be could if update-manager could catch these errors internally. So far the application hasn't been programmed to do that yet but I think it's in the developers to-do list for a future version.
In short I wouldn't worry about your system. If you're really bothered you could read up on what irda-utils is supposed to do and check those functions are working. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Needs Info => Confirmed -- Ubuntu 7.04 upgrade failed due to irda-utils https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/110239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
