Public bug reported:

In windows I use Notepad2 as my single windowed text editor. It is a
very popular project, it opens really fast and supports scintilla syntax
highlighting, full utf8 support, block select (scintilla based). I
finally found an equivalent for linux without having to use wine:

Could we get textadept packaged for the ubuntu? The project currently allows
the user to download i386 and x86_64 binaries for linux.
