I've been having the same problem ever since I bought my Asus U35JC in December last year. First with 10.10 and now on 11.04 as well. I have a D-link DIR-655 802.11n router and the only solution for me has been to set the router to only use 802.11g. It's dissapointing though to not be able to utilize the routers 11n capability.
