Loaded KUBUNTU 11.04 onto one of my twin laptops. It seems to Sleep-Wake and Hibernate-Thaw pretty reliably, but with warts.
REMEMBER: In the original bug report, I said that one sort of worked while one didn't work at all. I loaded KUBUNTU 11.04 onto the laptop that sort of worked under UBUNTU 10.04. On Wake or Thaw, the desktop often has various artifacts. These are not corrected by log-out and log-in. Rather the video hardware seems to require a hard restart or power cycle to clear whatever video or X11 crud it is that prevents effective use. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/697416 Title: laptop does not "thaw" following "hibernate" -- twin laptop works fine To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-power-manager/+bug/697416/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
