Ubuntu does not support packages from third party repositories, so I'm
closing this as invalid.

When I asked about this bug on IRC, someone mentioned that ppa-purge
might be a way to get the dependencies right, but the person didn't know
for sure. (And I'm afraid I cannot help you with that part either).
