Yet the answer today is: No it doesn't! It it does no longer depend on it.

At least with feisty you can simply remove the s[ck]im related libs,
hope that you will not need this input methods, and live happly ever
after with a scribus that behaves as expected, and a kubuntu-desktop
meta-package installed. Yippy!
