I'm having the same problem. I used the alternate install CD (AMD64) in textmode , so I could install without problems. But I have to disable splash to boot into Feisty, otherwise I get the kernel panic incl. blinking keyboard LEDs. The same happens on at least one other AMD64 machine I know of.
