As above I am also having both panels dissapear and that leaves only a right click option on the desktop. If the right click option had a reset button or even a log out button I could re-boot as it is I have to press the computer reset and re-boot. I did not have this problem in Ubuntu 6.10. I am sure that this is a bug and will be sorted out in the near future. Many thanks
