The problem seems to be this: :~# service rpc_pipefs start start: Unknown parameter: JOB
Doing it by hand: mount -t rpc_pipefs rpc_piefs /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs/nfs/ solves the idmap and so problem, something seems to be incorrect with upstart and the rpc_pipefs initscript had the same trouble on natty when setting specific settings in /etc/defaults/nfs-* (yes/no) for the services there (idmap......) It seems that the autodetection is not doing very well in maveric but in natty Hope this helps! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/791588 Title: no idmapd for nfs4-clients To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nfs-utils/+bug/791588/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
