Ok, perhaps I'm not being patient or perhaps it's my setup, but so far my experience is as follows;- (I'll try this again later just to verify)
I've shared the printer to allow network printing; when a colour job is sent - the print queue hangs (I'll wait a bit longer too see if anything happens) with the error log showing the message about colour profile.
