Public bug reported: $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 10.10 Release: 10.10
$ apt-cache policy libmeep-openmpi-dev libmeep-openmpi-dev: Installed: 1.1.1-4 Candidate: 1.1.1-4 Version table: *** 1.1.1-4 0 500 http://be.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ maverick/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status /usr/include/meep.hpp installed by libmeep-openmpi-dev expect to find 2 files, mympi.hpp and vec.hpp, in a meep folder (lines 23 and 24). But they are installed by libmeep-openmpi-dev in a /usr/include/meep-openmpi A third-party application (python-meep [0]) expects to find a /usr/lib /libmeep-mpi.so (looks reasonable because of the meep-mpi package) but only /usr/lib/libmeep-openmpi.so is available. A link between /usr/include/meep-openmpi and /usr/include/meep-mpi and a link between /usr/lib/libmeep-openmpi.so and /usr/lib/libmeep-mpi.so solved the problem for me. A similar issue exists with using libmeep-mpich-dev also I haven't filed a bug against it.
