@Anton, you must have downloaded other packages from my ppa, not only the pulseaudio packages (e g the ubuntu-sounds package where I experiment with speaker-test sounds...).
To make testing easier for all of you, I have now instead made a separate ppa with only the pulseaudio packages in.
