Ralph: I'm still going to need both those files to be uploaded stand any chance of investigating this properly (if you tried to attach them by email then I guess it didn't work - can you use the launchpad web interface please?). In addition to those two files could you add the output of the following commands: dpkg -l nvidia-\* | grep ii ls -la /lib/linux-restricted-modules/ ?
