Three comments: (1) The firmware on my phone is out of date, and needs to be updated to work with opensync. Possibly bad firmware is causing this problem, but the OS shouldn't crash anyway; (2) my phone also causes problems on Mac OS/X (I think 10.3 or 10.2) with Finder. One has to kill and restart Finder, but (3) this bug doesn't occur for me in Feisty.
