Thanks for your hint, I didn't see that button "Routes" ;) In the English version this setting can be found in NM under
Network Connections -> VPN -> Edit (your connection) -> IPv4 Settings tab -> Routes (lower right corner) and is labeled "Use this connection only for resources on its network". I don't know why it's not labeled "do not set default route over this network" or sth along these lines, but it works to the effect that no default route is set up via the VPN tunnel ;) However, as a VPN admin I want to be able to specify this behaviour in the OpenVPN server config file, and by checking this box, pushing the default route from the server doesn't work ... maybe we need some agreement what's best practice. Let's close this bug tho - it's invalid. ** Changed in: network-manager-openvpn (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/788568 Title: nm-openvpn sets default route via tun0 though that's not configured in the openvpn config file To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-openvpn/+bug/788568/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
