I think I might have fixed this. Fingers crossed. Beware of the Asus P2-P5945GC. The construction is very cramped and tricky. I checked connections over and over. Then I discovered that I could find the hidden hd end of the serial ata cable with my finger. It moved just slightly. Since then things seem to be OK. I even changed the hd so this must have also happened previously.
Sorry for the false alarm. Fingers still crossed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/793111 Title: ATA - DRDY, ICRC, ACPI Errors On Boot Up To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/793111/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
