Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: lintian

Lintian 2.5.0 tries to call a "fail()" subroutine in certain conditions,
however no such routine has ever been declared, and so the code crashes.

For example, try using the --tags-from-file or --suppress-tags-from-file
command-line options with a file that doesn't exist.
Command-line:
lintian --tags-from-file slkfjsf
Result:
Undefined subroutine &main::fail called at /usr/bin/lintian line 283.

This is 2.5.0~rc2ubuntu3

** Affects: lintian (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
