Yeah, after I created this bug report I ran into some issues with the kernel I was running at the time and now I'm running Linux 3.0!
3.0.0-999-generic #201106081005 This build has not locked up on me in at least 4 full days of use. Keep in mind that I did go several days on the last kernel without lockups.
