Hello Michael I am sorry but I spent a day having problems trying to eradicate a Tomcat error under 7.04 by reloading java and Tomcat but the conflict was beyond my understanding. It was related to changes made to Tomcat dependencies that could not be undone.
I decided to download the desktop_386.iso and install clean and then go from there. Wish I could help as you folks are doing a wonderful thing. Thank you Paul Opinion (skip if not interested or forward to someone you may think can help) I wish the people at Alfresco would do an Ubuntu build they trust from the Ubuntu allowed packages and quit acting like they are following some standards and standard install procedures. I understand they are doing something quite unique which causes unusual interdependencies and Ubuntu has requirements of their own. However, this seems to be a little to far for such little explanation. I cannot assure you that I am as capable as the task I have set upon to install Alfresco but have noticed when googling for answers that I am not the only one. I am not a Tomcat expert I am not a Java expert I am not a Network expert I am not a Alfresco expert I am not a Ubuntu Linux expert and I even suspect that because of all the 404 errors it is something that everyone assumes should be in place before installing Alfresco. All of this said, I hope to use all some day. Michael Vogt wrote: > Thanks for your bugreport. > > Can you please attach the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade ?
