SR-IOV is not yet working for me, though. I've had to:

- [on host] blacklist the igbvf module, so it won't attach to VF devices

- [on host] install QEMU-KVM and libvirt from ppa:nutznboltz/kvm-
libvirt-lts (else QEMU fails with 'get_real_device:
/sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:05:10.0/vendor: Permission denied'). This
might be fixed in Lucid someday -- bug 545795

- [on host] add kernel parameter intel_iommu=on on the host (else QEMU
fails with 'No IOMMU found. Unable to assign device "hostdev0"')

- [in guest] install -server flavor kernel, because -virtual flavor does
not have igbvf driver

- [on host] add 'capability sys_admin' in /etc/apparmor.d/abstractions
/libvirt-qemu -- else 'igbvf 0000:00:03.0: Failed to initialize MSI-X
interrupts.'

Final obstacle:

- VM stalls (doesn't boot to login prompt). QEMU logs an error:
'kvm_run: Bad address'.
